Amazing food, really good prices and wonderful staff that speaks English11/10
Food: 8/10. Good price/quality. Great gyozas
Delicious gyoza at great prices. Gyoza-no-Ohsho is a nationwide chain of restaurants that started in Kyoto so you can’t go wrong with having gyoza here if you’re in Kyoto.
MoreDelicious gyoza, six full sized ones for a really good price. They're really filling so if you're looking for a small snack or lunch this place is good for you. They have lots of other lovely food, the ramen is good and the rice is delicious. Lovely foods at a good price, and the staff are friendly and efficient too.
MoreGood budget food joint. Gyozas were very yummy
Great value for money restaurant, with quick service, large menu (in English) and full of flavor. When you go in and are a local, they'll ask you to write your name down and then they will call out your name once a tabel is free. For foreigners, they just send you upstairs tp the second floor, while shoutinv something over the speaker, I don't understand Japanese, but it could be 'two foreigners coming up! ' which had us chuckling! You can also buy the frozen gyozas from them.
MoreI actually like this place - this place is especially thoughtful for solo travelers/diners. The food can be ordered in small portions so you can order aplenty and they go very well with a bottle of beer (also priced very reasonably @ 400ish yen)! As the name of the restaurant suggests, the gyozas are the star here - I ended up ordering a 2nd 6s. =) The staff could speak simple english, else just point and order from the semi-English menu!
MoreIt offer a mini portion order, so that if your portion is small you can enjoy few dishes. Gyoza 3 pieces at 120yen and mini fried rice for 240yen... That make a lunch for me.
MoreDelicious food, great price, english menu available inside
Thoroughly enjoyed the gyoza, short stroll from Kyoto station and English menus available
MoreThe gyoza is certainly too oily and the filling dry. The egg with crab has too little of the latter. Service was slightly below the normal standards expected of an eatery in Kyoto.
MoreReally liked the food. Very good value for money. Menus have English translations and staff is frendly and able to help in English as well.
MoreGreat cheap food. The tempura prawns and steamed dumpling were cooked to perfection. Amazing service with English speaking staff as well as English menus available.
MoreEnglish menu. Affordable Fast food yet tasty.
Excellent, great food, good price.
I felt soso, But she has a nice location indeed . I had better experiences about the food in Taiwan .
Moresuper yummy gyoza highly recommended
Bed food
Peaceful environment with neat
Very cosy environment with polite staff, food is delicious and priced well. Many locals frequent there.
MoreThe food is extremely good and the price is very cheap. Staffs are kind and can speak some English.
MoreFast service, great food!
Just had the gyozas and a side of Kimchee. Very good.
Our personal favourite while we stayed, not far from the kyoto tower and train station. Put your name in the book then wait for a table. The menu has English written under each item and everything is a hot meal so a winner with my kids.Definitely try the gyoza and the steamed buns.If you need extra push the button that looks like an egg.Just pay downstairs when you finish
MoreFood so oily and a waitress very unkindnessThat food tastes so so bad.I'm almost left. This place is so terrible in my japan tour.
MoreDecent prices and no problem in ordering if you don't speak Japanese.
Lovely food for a great price and quick service. Very authentic.
Great food good price nice atmosphere put your name down and wait to be called press the egg to order!!!
MoreFood ok. Service fast.
This place has horrible service! We attempted to eat here only because it was one of few options, but they wouldn't even take our order, which is probably for the best! A sign on the door stated that their gyoza was made from 'safe' ingredients which really scared me. 'Safe' is a long way from good food! The place was dirty and unkept, and I saw multiple customers arguing with the staff about their orders! Couldn't get out of there soon enough!
MoreI sat at the bar section and had a real fast food experience :) the dumplings was nice and beer was cold and delicious :) descent size of plate of food and price was under 900yen
MoreOne of the famous dumpling place in Japan Good to visit when you don't have enough time and money Taste of the dumpling seems like chinese version It was good but there are still so many places you have to taste in Japan not only that place...
MoreVery good food. Not tourist place so it's very nice
I read reviews expecting bad service but I received quite the opposite. As a solo traveller who speaks no Japanese I expected to be totally out of my depth but the staff were excellent efficient and helpful, food was great value as well
MoreOne of the best restaurant in Kyoto!!!!!
Cheap, quickly served, clean and good. Open late.
Cheap, delicious, fast and neat to kyoto station! Also an amazing view to the temple! Arigatto!
MoreKeep in mind that this is a Chinese (not Japanese) fast food restaurant. That being said, the service is as one can expect from a place like this. The food is OK and cheap, but the gyoza was a disappointment - but again: this is a cheap fast food place, like a Chinese Mc Donald's. Don't expect too much.
MoreMy husband and I just finished eating here, and we loved it! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The gyoza were particularly delicious. The waiters were very attentive and kind. When we came in, there was a large line, but we just put our name in the book at the front and there was an open table only five minutes later. They also have an English menu with lots of great pictures. For those who complained that the waiters never served you (and for the information of others reading this review): you need to push the button on your table for service (it has a picture of a plate of gyoza on the top), otherwise they'll think you're not ready. They don't tell you this (although, yes, they should), but if no waiter came to your table, you could have at least flagged them down by waving them over.Overall, great place and great food.
More[Australian reviewer] - This place is cosy and has good atmosphere. Decent food for decent pricing.
MoreAmazing food, Friendly, fast and acrobatic staff, English menu. Take away available.
